British Retail Consortium confirms June shop sales decline after 152% rainfall

On a total basis, sales decreased by 1.3% in June, against an increase of 2.3% in June 2018, with a fall in sales of garden furniture and barbecues cited by the BRC as one of the reasons June failed to match up to the hot June of 2018, when the football World Cup helped outdoor living sales.
