Former Wyevale Garden Centres owner says private equity became too money-focussed

Terra Firma founder Guy Hands said in a speech to students at a London School of Economics conference on alternative investments in London this month that private equity “had lost sight of the aim of value creation,” adding “the culture today in most investment and financial businesses is not fit for purpose for the world we now live in”.
