Retailers against VAT Abuse Schemes campaign manager Richard Allen is facing £10,000 in court costs eight years after he helped bring down a VAT avoidance scheme, which saw plants and other goods traded from the Channel Islands, avoiding VAT and undercutting companies on the UK mainland.
