Gloriosa Lily Rothschildiana - Climbing Vine 3 Very Large Tubers

Grows to 5-6 feel tall producing many lily-like flowers of exeptional beauty over an extended period and make good cut flowers. If the flower vines are not cut, they will double and are perfectly adapted to zone 8 and higher. They will take full sun, good drainage and need to be watered well at planting and kept moist during the growing season. They die back and go dormant if outside during the cold months. To plant lay the long tubers flat and cover with soil. The tubers can be planted in a trench along a fence or wall and 6" apart and about 3-4 inches deep in good soil with drainage. When growth begins in the spring, they should be given a liquid fertilizer once a week to encourage new growth. Later in the season, a help strength fertilizer added to the water every two weeks will keep the plants blooming strongly thoughout the summer and sometimes into early autumn.
